We’re an independent registered charity that has been supporting young people in Brighton for over 100 years. Most of what we offer is free or low cost; our funding comes from grants, room hire, events and generous donations.

The BYC Rebuild is Complete!
We are delighted to announce that building work is now complete. This has been a massive project with construction taking a year and a half.

BYC Building update
We are nearing the final stages of the rebuild of BYC’s permanent home on Edward Street, currently due to be completed in September 2025.

BYC January Update
The building work continues on Edward Street and the team are busy making plans for the return to our new-and-improved home. The building remains on schedule to reopen in late August of this year.

Stop Motion Animation Workshop with @art_in_mind_brighton
Tues 7th April + for 13-17 years only + FREE
7-9pm at Brighton Youth Centre
Transform magazine cut-outs into animated scenes. Design characters, create movement, and make your own short film.
You will need the app stop motion studio on a camera phone, and bring a charger with plug.

Graffiti Canvasses and Tote bags with Sinna One
Tues 31st March 7-9pm at Brighton Youth Centre
For 13-17 years only + FREE
Come and join this fun creative session with Sinna One. You will use stencils, spray paint and paint pens to put your design on a canvass or a tote bag.
Wear clothes that you are not concerned about getting paint on.
Please make sure you put a correct email on your registration so we can inform you about the workshop.

Are you 13-19 years and in a band? We have a great opportunity for you!
BYCs Venue B is taking over Klub Kaput at @caravanseraibrighton as part of the @brightonfringe on May 27th. Klub Kaput is an awesome 300 capacity venue in the heart of Caravanserai.
We have a sign up in our bio for your band to express an interest in playing. We will have a meeting and workshop day for your band, at which our music team will decide if you are right for the gig line up.
We welcome young bands from anywhere, but you will need to attend the workshop day on March 31st.
